Continuous growth of cargo throughput in Hong Kong seven months
Hong Kong International Airport in April of Air cargo recorded a growth of 38% to 354,000 tonnes, a continuous increase in seven months.
In addition, the Hong Kong Airport Authority said air traffic in April compared with last year’s rise of 2.7% to 24,725 vehicles. Passenger traffic decreased by 1.5%, about 4.2 million people.

The number of outbound travelers in Hong Kong over the same period were recorded in the 4% decline in the number of transit passengers decreased by 9%. However, between Southeast Asia and North Asia region by the number of visitors driven by growth in number of visitors increased by 8%.
Performance of the passenger market, the Airport Authority CEO Stanley Hui said: “Last year during the Easter holidays the number of particularly large, in contrast to the high base. January to April this year, the airport recorded 1,620 million passengers, 1.3 million tonnes of cargo, air traffic volume of 94,825 vehicles, increased by 4.5%, 35.1% and 1.6%.
In the past 12 months, the airport’s cargo of 3.7 million tonnes, up 9.3%; passenger traffic and air traffic was 4,690 million and 280,905 vehicles decreased by 2.1% and 4.9%.
